September

Spring has arrived, things have been a bit different around here. Karen has been away on an incredible trip to India so Dad and I have had to fend for ourselves for smoko and lunches! We have managed to survive!! September is such a beautiful time with the blossom trees and daffodils in full bloom and even some rain which we are very grateful for. This year we have pushed our lambing date back by a week so we have only just put all the sheep on the hills and into the blocks that they will have their lambs. The ewes are looking good going into lambing time they have been eating lovely green grass and balage on the flats are all ready for maternity leave. This means that the farm is shut up now and we cant have any people going near the hills where the girls are lambing, even we don't go out there as we don't want any sheep to get separated from their lambs if we spook them, so we trust our girls to do their thing and leave them alone, we will see them in November for tailing time.
