The Quarters

Newly renovated while maintaining the uniqueness' of a shearers quarters, with no internal doors you will have to step out onto the porch and take in the farm scenery each time you pop to your room. The Quarters can be a cozy spot with heaters in each room and the beautiful Oamaru stone keeping the  heat in, while in the summer that same stone helps keep the Quarters nice and cool making it a great all year round destination.  The Quarters was once a hive of activity at shearing time but now that shearers don't stay on farm it was time to update it and use it to share our stunning home with you. Its the ideal spot to unwind, sitting on the porch in the morning sun with a good book is a moment hard to beat. 

While staying at the Quarters you'll find a map showing you multiple short or longer walks that you can enjoy whenever you want. There are walks for all fitness levels with flat or hill options. Kenmore is a beautiful peaceful place that we love to share with people. You may come across stock on your walks but they will not bother you.

To get the full experience of Kenmore Station book a meet and greet with the dogs. These dogs are so important to us here on the farm and we love to show people how clever they are. The dogs love their job so will take any opportunity to chase some sheep and get some pats so they enjoy the meet and greet as much as you do. 

Another way to enjoy Kenmore Station is by horse back. There is no better feeling that getting out of bed and stepping out onto the porch and seeing your horse right there. There are multiple loop rides you can do, we will give you a map and chat to you about the different rides when you arrive and then let you have the farm to yourself. We just ask that you bring your own hay, we can offer electric fencing if you need it.
